So feel free to bring your own food, and enjoy a palatable Andechs monastery beer with it. Or, if you don’t have your own food, you may like to choose from a wide range of hot and cold Andechs delicacies. As if this wasn’t enough, the Bräustüberl terraces also offer you in good weather a magnificent view of the Bavarian Alps and the breathtaking landscape.

Seasonal, value for money offers of the week go light on the purse, especially for families. Of course, our list of beverages also has soft drinks in addition to Andechs monastery beers. A particular speciality is our Andechser Winterbier. Regulars include brass bands from near and far that perform in the Bräustüberl.
It is also the tradition of a pilgrim’s tavern that the monastery’s daily routines define the serving times in the Bräustüberl. Serving therefore ends when the monks attend evening prayer at 8 pm. After last orders, the guests are of course welcome to stay for another hour until closing time.
All year: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
On 31st of December there is closing line at 5:00 pm,
the Bräustüberl closes at 6:00 pm.
The Bräustüberl is closed on:
24st December - Christmas Eve
25st December - Christmas
1st January - New Year's Day
(On these days, the Klostergasthof is still open for our guests.)
Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further details (see the Contacts Box).
(Please be a little patient and let the phone ring a little longer. After all, as the old Benedictine rule goes, “monasteries will never be lacking in guests”.)
